Burlesque

I watched this movie with a couple friends on a a day I was feeling all but happy. In fact, all I wanted to do was hug my pillow and watch a sad movie. But they somehow convinced me to get my ass out of my house and watch Christina Aguilera sing. And it kinda was worth it.

Musical is my thing. I've said it already. And this one in particular is more my thing. It's resembles Moulin Rouge and Chicago. The songs, the wardrobe, the cabaret thing. I don't know why, I just love it.

Christina Aguilera is one hell of a singer. Her voice is simply mind-blowing. But she's not an actress. First, her role sucked. It really sucked. No one, I repeat, no one is nice and good and talented enough to be annoying. Well, she is. Somehow she is.

Just to explain the plot, Ali (Aguilera) is a waitress in Iowa who suddenly quits her job and goes to LA to become a singer. Then she runs into a night club called Burlesque where she sees Tess (Cher) singing and goes asking for a job. Se starts working there and you'll need to see the movie to know the rest.

I know that I'm not anywhere near the Cher generation, so that's probably why I didn't see anything special about her. She's a good singer, but that's as far as it goes. She barely dances and let's just say her acting was okay.

There was one other thing that bothered me, when it came to the complication of the movie, it just didn't seemed to be a complication in the first place. Cher has a problem with the club, Jack (Cam Gigandet, as gorgeous as it can be, btw), who is Ali's love interest is engaged and that dude from Grey's Anatomy (whose name slipped my mind) wants to get Ali and her talented voice out of the club, all these things seem to simply solve themselves.

The movie isn't bad, but it didn't live up to my expectations. It is included in a category called Movies To Watch When You're Tired (created by my dad), when you just couldn'tt care less about details and just wanna see people dance.

I guess that's it.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

It's been a year. An entire year. Precisely 361 days.
But I'm back.

Believe me, I missed this.

I'm not only back, but I'm back with a friends suggestion!
He suggested this movie to me over a year ago, and a couple weeks ago I finally watched it. Sorry about the delay!

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a true classic. An 80's classic. A John Hughes classic. And it's awesome. It's that kind of movie that you watch when you're sad, when you're happy, when you're bored, it doesn't matter. You'll laugh, you'll sing, you'll wanna be him.

Can you explain how did he managed to do everything that he did and get away with it? No! And that's probably why it's so cool. It's every teenagers dream to skip school, take your girlfriend, your best friend and his dad's Ferrari and just go around town and sing The Beetles in a parade (or something). And in the end, run home, where your parents will think you spent your day sick, and you need nothing but the best.

Seriously, Ferris is the most awesome teenager that ever lived.

I haven't wrote much, I know. I just don''t know what else to write. It's awesome!!

Anyway, I'll be posting more soon, so keep checking!
